steel wool photography

1. Put the camera in to M/Manual mode

2. Change IOS between 100-400

3. Set aperture F8-F11

4. Set exposure time to 5/30 seconds

5. Make suer to turn auto focus off

6. Set white balance to tungsten or auto

7. make shore you have a tripod
8. Focus your lens on your subject. by having a light on your subject can help you to focus the lens
9. The photo work the best a night time e.g. at the beach or in a cave/rocky place
NOTE do not use rubber/plastic whisk as it may melt and use gloves if you need to as the steel wool may burn you. 

Auto mode on

Tungsten light on

Tool needed
1. steel wool grade 000 works best or you can chose between 000-0
2. whisk to put the steel wool into
3. chain with a clip or a dog chain
4. lighter or a 9v batter to light the steel wool
5. camera and tripod

star/trail photography

1. Set camera mode to M/Manual mode

2. Change IOS between 400-1600 

3. Turn auto focus off

4. Set white balance to AWB
5. Set aperture to the lowest your lens will let you to go or 2.4 and above till work
7. You can still can put the cameras exposure time to BULB and that will keep the shutter open
8. You can try to play with light painting e.g if you have a rocky place you can shine a light on the rocks for a couple of second 10-20 seconds. photo showing down below.
NOTE. when in BULB if the time is longer then 30 seconds the stars will start to trail. there is a photo showing this part.
9.Make sure you have a tripod
10. Make sure you focus you lens so you can see the stars clearly or if you lens has a symbol like this ∞ that means infinity.

This can happen when you sine a light on what your taking a pic of due to the exposure time.
